This Paneer Malai Tikka has a lot of flavor because of the tasty spice combination and because you marinate the paneer with the spice mix. In addition, you increase the amount of proteins and fats by marinating in a combination of labneh and cream. Labneh is drained yogurt and therefore contains more protein and less carbohydrates than yogurt. Here you can see how you can easily make labneh yourself.
Paneer is a very good vegetarian source of protein and is therefore used a lot in Indian cuisine. You can also easily make paneer yourself. It does take some time, because you want to put the paneer under a weight for a few hours (preferably all night) (for example, a glass jar of salt), to get a more compact, firmer cheese.
Since I use paneer very often, one of the favorite breakfasts in our household is Paneer Bhurji, I recently bought a cheese press. This makes pressing the paneer a piece of cake. You put the drained paneer in the press, tighten the press firmly and a few hours later you have beautifully firm paneer.
- 100 ml Labneh
- 50 ml whipped cream (35% fat)
- 0.5 green chilli pepper

Drain the yogurt a few hours in advance to make labneh. This can also be done longer in advance. You drain the yogurt for 2-3 hours and can then store the labneh in the refrigerator.
